    Hey guys,

My 360 recently Red Ring of Death'ed so i bought a new one, however I'm just wondering whether a harddrive affiliated with an RROD console will cause future problems for my new console?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

    No.
The RROD is something to do with the chipset in the console I believe.

RRoD is usually the CPU overheating or (apparently) a loose connector within the unit.

It's more usually the GPU....but yeah...

    its both

the chipset gets so hot that the contact points melt and with the x clamps pushing on the board the chipset moves out of position and hay presto RROD

My brother can chip or fix a RRoD for a small price though ;)

As I said, it's more often the GPU...it gets hotter than the CPU, faster

Anyone can fix a RROD for a very small price...
Most people can do it with stuff they already have lying around..

thats because the air folw sucks ass.

but can be sorted out with some electrical tape and cardboard, doing that can help prevent RROD
