Castlevania games
Mario and all games in Mario's World (yoshi island etc)
All marvel games (hulk, spiderman, wolverine)
MegaMan ZX and Advent
Henry Hatsworth
Kirby games
Contra, Metal Slug, N+

As you can see I love this genre!
So I will be very happy.

ahh...my favorite worm.

Which system? You never played "Super Turrican 1+2" on the Super NES? You should try, it`s a real challenging 2D-platformer with lots of action.

DS would be awesome but I also have a snes emu, so I can play thoose, they look sweet.
But I look games like, you have an inventory and you can select how the game goes and so...

Ahhhh, i see, i do have much of that games! Like: Kirby Super Star Ultra, Mario And Luigi Partners In Time, Mario VS Donkey Kong 2, Professor Layton 1&2, LEGO Battles, Theme Park and Yoshi Touch And Go. (this are not all, and they are not all action, i could not see what you already have played, because i`m on a DSi.)

Ok, here some other games, MUST it be 2D? anyway: Bomberman Land Touch, Diddy Kong Racing, Hotel Dusk Room 215, Pokemon series, Transformers series, Ben 10 series, Bomberman Story, Luxor Pharaos Challange, Lego Indy Jones, Scribblenauts (played it not, so), New Super Mario Bros., Pokemon mystery series and Mario And Sonic Series... Hope i be some help...
