2002 - Professor Layton And The Curious Village (U)(Micronauts) error

    I pressed new game, wrote in my name, a little clip shows, and afterwards, the screen turns black. WTH happened???

    Works perfectly for me. I'm using M3simply with firmware v1.10.

    Make sure you have the latest firmware for your flash cart.

    im using an r4ds and updated to 1.15 already, and it is still the showing black screens after the little clip. :'(

    maybe you need to wait for the next firmware. Alternatively, your microSD card might not be fast enough

    yes, it can't supply data as fast as the DS expects it, therefore the game hangs waiting for the data. It is designed for specific hardware that the developers knew the capabilities of, therefore there is no code to handle slow datarates. The most compatable brands seem to be Sandisk and Kingston.

    But I'm using a 1 GB Kingston MicroSD card, should i buy another brand, a bigger microSD card, what should i do???

    Try backing up your data and reformatting the card

    Some OS's like moonshell for the Supercard have an option to maximise the SD speed.

    Usually set at an average speed, which is fine for most games. However some such as Castlvania POR may need to take it up a notch.

    Might be something to consider if that is the issue. Most likely it could be what Seph was saying, firmware update.

    Go to My computer with your microSD in the usb slot, then go to your card and right-click it and it should give you a list of things to do. Now click on Format and format it to FAT32. This will erase everything on your card so make sure you back everything up first.
