1964 controller

    trying to play bomberman64 on the 1964 and it keeps saying insert controller, how do i get round that?

    is the input plugin fully and correctly configured?

    i'm not sure, i'm new to all this so don't know what i'm doing, don't even know if this is a good emulator sorry

    yes its a good emu, and it sounds like a configuration issue. Try to find the plugin configuration and post back the settings

    not sure if this is what you mean but says

    there is a tick by controller one saying it is plugged

    then all the buttons say unassigned

    when i have changed this and saved profiles still says plug in controller on game

    i've just noticed in the help manual it says that i need an n64 game controller!!! is there any n64 emulators that don't need one and will play bomberman?

    1964 doesnt need one, I used to play mario64 on it. have you assigned all the buttons to keys?

    just to check, did you reset the rom after setting the controls? (emulation menu -> reset)

    i unticked the box and assigned keys but when i reset it reverts back, i even tried savin settins and loading them when game on but still no joy ???

    still says- with the power off install controller into socket 1 then turn power on

    Start 1964 without loading a rom. go into plugin configuration and set your keys up. Make sure the 'plugged' box is ticked then click the 'use' button. Click the 'save' button and close the config. Now load the rom and it should work
