Hey guys really new here... That means I'm probably going to ask really obvious questions. My dsi firmware is at 1.3. Is it possible to get it to 1.4.1? Please explain how
What benefit would you get out of a firmware update? Not really familiiar with the DSi scene, but firmware updates in general means bad news when trying to run flashcarts, backups, etc.
You need a wi-fi connection to update. I think all flashcarts are able to run on the 1.41 version, especially the good ones, Acekard, DSTWO, etc
Half my roms are not working (load rom errcode=-1) and my DS firmware is 1.3 - I thought that updating 1.4.1 may fix the problem. 1.4.1 is the furthest my flashcard supports.
from memory all the 1.4 update does is gives you a stupid facebook application and attempts to block flashcarts. It has nothing to do with rom compatibility. lack of rom compatibility is related to your flashcart firmware, not your dsi firmware. What flashcart are you using?
My flashcart is the R4i Upgrade Revolution - Supports up to v1.4.1 (Red box) - http://r4i-sdhc.com/ Things I have tried: -Update to the latest kernel (v1.30b) - from -Defrag the SD Card -Format the SD Card -Try alternate ROMS DSi is Ver 1.3A
