just saw that on the news. So long as microsoft don't touch yahoo mail or yahoo finance I'm not really bothered.

Why is it that anything Microsoft touches, they ruin?
Why release the same Office bullshit year after year, when you can use an older one that does the same thing? Why rearrange the entire layout of MS Word when it was fine the way it was? Why release .docx or .xlsx when the regular .doc and .xls formats are fine?

Why buy an inferior OS to the one before it?
Why ruin the entire internet just because Microsoft wants in? (exaggerating)

I read a while ago, its was a merger of yahoo and microsoft because yahoo was near to bankruptcy due to google being the best search engine in the net. but i'm not sure if thats true.

its a co-operation more or less. Yahoo uses bing for their search engine, and in return gets to keep 88% of the advertising revenue.

also we had a database lock, needed a server restart.

ohk i thought something was wrong with me......
well id say bing is much more graphically advanced and holistically will make a big impact
