Ok so I got wii homebrew channel for christmas and USB configurable downloader, which all the games are in the external hard drive (250GBS), my question is, how, and where do I get new games? I went on wiisos.com and downloaded some, but they came as a "torrent" file, but how do I get this to work? HELP

    http://www.utorrent.com/

Download this and open the .torrent file with it
    Download the file(s)
    ? ? ? ? ? ?
    Profit!

If you get a .rar or .7z file, use this to open the thingimajagjag. If you've used winzip you should be able to pick it up.

ok downloaded it and tried downloading one.. But even after a while it says "progress - 0.00%" what do I do? I think it's because in the setup it asked "make an exception for utorrent in firewall?" and I unchecked the box. So what happened?

When your downloading a torrent you need to keep in mind the "health" of the torrent, how many people are "seeding", the more people seeding - or sharing - the file, the faster it'll go. If only a few people are seeding, then you will get lower speeds.

If you can find a file with more seeders, get that, otherwise you'll have to wait for a fast user to start seeding the file.

oh by the way, if it HAS to be super uber slow, does it continue the download if I turn off the computer, and I can resume it later? I'am not leaving my computer on for 2 days..

it will continue when you turn the computer back on. Torrents usually start slow and pick up speed after they've been running for a while.

.torrent, I got utorrent and it's running atm but when it asked for "save as" I put it in a disk that doesn't have enough space I think (it says saved in my documents) and I switched it (restarted download) and saved as in my external harddrive (500GB), was I supposed to do that?

Sure, if there wasn't enough room on your HDD.

So wait, does your thread explain what to do after I download it? My dad doesn't know beyond that point.. He said you put it in the "WiiBackupManager0.3.4r4" so what do I do after that?

Edit: Also my wii already has homebrew channel/USB configurable downloader.. My dad got it like that for christmas, but besides that we have absolutely no idea what to do at this point. I don't which guide to use because I think the wii 4.1 or whatever is probably changed since it has the stuff already. I have just no idea where to get these games, torrent or what? where to put em, and how do I get them in my wii D=

Edit2: Oh it's 4.1U, does that change anything? just follow the 4.1 guide?

    Thanks in advance..

    A little education on torrents:

The more seeds the better. This may not always be good though. If there are 50 seeds and 150 leeches, you're going to have a hard time getting what you want. If it's a multi-part file, you also have to consider what parts people might have. If it's an album, your speed might sink dramatically if only one 1 out of the 25 seeds actually got that song out of that torrent.

There are a few other factors that contribute to speed, but the seed to leech ratio and your general internet connection speed are two big contributors.

Ugh...just go to Wiiso.com and download Wii games from MegaUpload and what not.

Then, use WBFS Manager by Hermes (All found in my thread) to transfer the game to your HDD.

WBFS-Partition-creator? becasue I've used Ctrl-f to find it but it only came up as a term in your thread. D= so where are the instructions on how get games on the manager then on to the HDD?

Really,Really sorry, I'am really clueless with this stuff.
