This is a post I made in gamespot forums. And I quote. THIS GUY MADE A BAD START TURN INTO A WASTE OF MY TIME!!! BTW, game is lost planet 2.
It happens in all online games. Get a group of people who aren't assholes then just kick back and relax.
Well that sucks. Why in gods name would they develop a game like that? It's basically built for trolling then.
Alot of the game that have ranked matches have that now. COD MW 2, aliens vs predator, bioshock, all fps, etc... Ranked means all you can do is select the match type. I can do private matches but I need some ranks for some incentives (and more people going ranked these days). You should try gaming on a next gen system. (I should mention what game this is )
Welcome to the wonderful world of griefing. Also, some people naturally suck. Can't blame them. I'm shit at MW2 but that's because I don't own the game and because I actually have a life.
that happens to me aswell sometimes and it pisses me off so i do it to other people and its actually funny when u do it yourself.
One day, you might realise that it's just a game and it has no bearing on anything apart from your empty existence.
First thing guy, i do not expect these games (MW2,etc) to have "sport-like" quality to them. They are mere entertainment. They are developed with entertainment in mind. Hence why people act like assholes. They do not behave with sportmanship as the play just for time sinking and pure fun. You might hate me for saying this but if you want a community that is truly competitive but at the same time full of helping hands and humble "gaming sportmen" try Counter Strike, or Starcraft 2. Starcraft 2 is developed with highly competitive gaming and entertainment in mind. The battle.net 2 features are built around an active community. It's an RTS so there is no mystery why the community have sportman-like quality as you need to have a good judgement to play an RTS in the first place. Not to take anything away from FPS fans but RTS fanbase is just a little more mature.
In particular, Starcraft 2 is aimed for both gamers and competitive gamers but in a competitive environment such as Battlenet 2.0.
...in multiplayer gaming, there can be different rules...my mates always have certain rules when playing that won't happen online. But when online, it's these codes of conduct that make it fun... -In team matches, you help each other and don't fuck around Why last night something stupid happened, in lost planet 2 i grabbed a vs (mech), and some guy on my team went to grab the side of it. I went for another weapon that I could use on it,m but the Vs was too big to fit, so I hit the horn and went to grab it... HE TOOK MY VS AND GOT KILLED IN 2 MINS! And because he died in it it lowered the teams overall score alot lower than just him dying. He didn't get any kills ethier, if that were me with the weapon I tried to grab I would of made 5, and leave it before it got totalled with me in it. Now half way thru, second round, I got it first, no handles...here he is shooting me as if to say "WTF", screw him! I JUMPED ON HIM WITH THIS! Friendly fire was on...but watching him being bounced around as over a ton of metal jumped on him was awesome enough...I only did it because HE TOOK MY ONLY GUN ON THE MACHINE RENDERING IT USELESS! In the end, couldn't finish the match so I went for dinner while the game ran...hide my guy so no easy deaths happened... The guy quit before the match ended indicated by the end game stats...pathetic.
And ranked matches are supposed to be there to offer a competitive edge to the game, would you not agree?
Yes. Starcraft 2 is divided into leagues from Copper, Bronze, Silver, God, Platinum and Diamond. Each leagues has its own ranking. Before anything, you must play in pre-league so that they can determine which league you belong to.
I hate those kids that quit the game right before they lose. Especially since there's nothing to lose.
