UK Bans All DS/DSi Flashcarts

    Well, it was bound to happen somewhere.

    I'm surprised at this, since a while back, a French judge stated that flashcarts were legal since they were said to use homebrew and nothing more for the most part...but I guess Nintendo has ways of pulling strings in the government as well...

    UK aren't really the first ;D My country had banned all DS/DSi flashcarts for up to 3 years from now and they will fine you ;D

    I'm kidding >:D My country just banned only the DS and DSi flashcarts to be sell in shops but you can still buy them on the internet

    Yes, but it is a step towards a totally different future. If the UK can pass it, then, who knows how many more European countries will follow suit.

    Laws are not passed to actually scare people as you so thought. If they were I'm pretty sure the masses will not approve of it & it will be up to the masses to put a stop to it. Laws are often enacted to curb a certain problem, if at all a major one arises.
