U.S. Identifies Vast Riches of Minerals in Afghanistan

    You do know what this means, right? And i think the the U.S government will be back on the top, if they will do what i think they would or should do...

    I would like to know what scientists were doing searching for minerals in a war zone
    obviously they have known for a while and its part of the reason they are still there

    Of course. The thing here is, who would dominate on that find? the U.S or China? I bet the U.S would lose on that deal if they pulled out their troops and let the Afghans rule themselves.

    I was amused at reports of corruption in the Afghan government concerning the US. Why? Because the more liberal, western-friendly politicians are paid off by the West already. Basically, the aim is to get the guy with the right sort of corruption (see: paid off by us rather than the Taliban) into government so they can mine these deposits.
