The Pokemon Duel

    Attention please!

    I, Seph - The great and awesome admin of RomUlation - appointed God by the devoted members of the church of RomUlation - hereby challange the Demi-God known as Winterreise to a pokemon duel. This great honour fall to him because of dedicated service for many years now.

    This duel will take place on the April the 17th so both of us have apt time to prepare.

    The rules are as follows:
    - Both participants must start from new, so both start on the same basis.
    - No legendary pokemons are allowed. list here + Shaymin-S and all forms of Girantia
    - No cheats, pokesav or similar device to enhance pokemons outside of regular game functions.
    - Trading is only allowed to evolve a pokemon.

    The result shall be announced for the world to see.

    Assuming at least one of you is using platinum, you guys should record and upload this using the platinum battle recorder. Would be fun to watch.

    Can I suggest using the Smogon Uber list for Pokemon restrictions? It still removes the overly powerful Pokemon while leaving those with marginal abilities untouched. Garchomp, being nigh-unkillable (seriously, I've gone 6-0 using just my Garchomp), is banned, as are most legendaries, while things like Articuno are unbanned.

    Also, I'd like to volunteer my services. I've got a year and a half's experience with D/P competitive battling and the like, and I can act as an unbiased adjudicator. More importantly, I can analyse saved games to check for any hacks.

    This duel is relevant to my interests. As for bets...
    I'll take a piece of that action.

    Smogons list of ubers added plus it's been adapted for Platinum.
