The creators of this patch worked for a very long time to create a top quality translation.

I know I will now be enjoying this game in full English.

help, my patch isn't in xdelta form but in .dat form what do i do?

 

Switch the file type while browsing for the patch to all files (should be next to the file name box). Then select the patch file.

I can confirm that this program patches it perfectly. Also, for the third box, just browse and make your own file name. Before you put it on your MicroSD card, add .nds to the end of the file name if you don't already have it in the .nds format.

Updated the first post to contain the patch, a clean ROM, and the pre-patched ROM posted above.

Then again, I'm violating his request to use my own dump... Ah well.

 

I fixed my post to honor the wishes of the awesome translator.

 

Whenever I try to patch the rom it says bad magic number not a valid delta. Does anyone have the same problem?

 

First, make sure you are using the patching tool recommended by the Read Me that came with the patch. Then simply:

Select the patch for the first box (may need to change the files being browsed for, the option is next to the file name box when selecting a file)
Select the clean Tales of Innocence ROM for the second box on the patching tool
Name the file for the third box in the patching tool

If you didn't already, you'll need to add .nds to the patched file before playing it.

If you're on a Mac, I have no idea.

Sweet, I've been looking forward to this one for awhile now.

 

it's awesome! the game is freaking hilarious! now if only the speaking could possibly be translated.....(highly unlikely )

 

Unless they personally dubbed over the speaking, it won't ever be translated.

Basically, replaced the Japanese voices with their voices. The quality would probably suck, and I highly doubt they want to voice the entire game.
