    Ok-today I am hearing people twice my age...maybe more saying...

    "Sat-Day"

    WTF!?

    ...Is it just australia's slang out of control-or is this laziness in pronouniation becoming a sign of ignorance around the world?

    ...here is a conversation at my old work that proved how dumb people are...

    Friend-So what are you doing Sat-Day?

    Me-Not doing anything on "SatURday".

    Friend-WHat's with your voice-got a lisp or something?

    Me-No that is how it's spelt and pronounced

    Friend-Nah your kidding-I learnt that from my mum!

    Me-I learnt mine off school-how do you spell it?

    *Friend writes "Sat-Day"

    [me=mds64]writes "SatURday"[/me]

    ...

    Friend-you spell it the dork way!

    [me=mds64]facepalms[/me]

    Me-...this is why I don't do anything on Sat-Day-it doesn't exist-period

    Friend-Ok fine then-HAY GUYS WHAT'S EVERYONE DOING?

    [me=mds64]listens to conversation about what everyone's doing on "sat-day"-it seems everyone young and old say it this way[/me]

    ...

    It bugs me alot-even my managers at my current job and some staff-who are double my age...or even close to 50 are saying it this way.

    What bugs me more-I have a speech impediment (no...not a stutter...word pronounciation) and yet I say this-and now many other words perfectly-yet these normal people screw it up!

    So...How do you say it?

    I've never heard someone say Satday, only Saturday. Saying Satday just seems silly to me.

    Aussie mis pronounciation then.

    Though I thought it may have been carried over from other places...

    [me=mds64]weeps for decline in saying things correctly in is own country[/me]

    I knew there would be one-hence the option ;D

    Screw you guys Saturdays don't exist. Sundays are so amazing that they engorged and absorbed whatever day was before it to create Sunday part 1 and 2.

    Satday is just slang...Has anyone noticed its really bogan guys about 35-60 who say it? Younger then that and its weird, older then that is not elegant enough :)

    I guess its a dad thing, lol
