A quick question, how do I merge two seperate video files together? Usually there would be a gap in between the two videos, and it kind of "skips" the parts of the video. Here's an image.

Yeah, I record with Faps. But there's the image, so you'll know which version I'm using.

Go to: Video tools, Edit, On the editing section on the right side of the window you have options for setting end and starting points, set them manually. You should be able to merge them that way.

Try "Pinnacle Studio" there's a trial version for it, but I'm using the full version (Pinnacle Studio Ultimate HD). I use that all the time to merge, split, trim, edit, add background music, erase noise, convert type for video files. I often make movies out of the clips I shot using digital camera-video/mobile phone. I recommend using this as its easy to learn but really is an advance program for home video editting like a pro.

Those free tools from Windows are too basic. Another recommendation for really basic video editting tool is FREE STUDIO from dvdvideosoft.com, contains an all in 1 program for many uses related to music, video, and pictures.

I have pinnacle studio, It is not advanced and is nowhere near 'professional' standard, no matter what they claim. it is barely better than movie maker.

I'm using Windows Live Movie Maker because it's free. That's it. I would gladly use Vegas if I could.
