Playing PC games without the CD

Well, I've been itching to play my games, but I'm afraid to scatch the CDs, and I don't want to waste time getting the CD's into the computer, can anyone help me play my PC games without th3e CD?

I've heard Daemon Tools works, but how do you use it?c

 

Forget about Daemon Tools use Slysoft GameJackal Pro instead

 

You can make a image from your CD using DVD Decrypter etc. and then mount it as a virtual drive using Alcohol 120% etc. Or you can use a program such as VirtualDrive Pro to make an image from your CD and then mount it. Or you can install the game (or if it's already installed) and you don't want to mount it, you can always crack it.

 

yeah, there are some pc games that have cracks for them so you just install it and after that you never have to use the cd again (doesn't work for mmo's like world of warcraft, everquest, etc), I used a crack for Aliens vs predator 2 and it works fine (even online XD) and just a little secret , if you have the original aliens vs predator 2 game, and download the expansion, you can use the cd key from the original on the expansion ;D

 

You can always use the orignal CD-key with the expansion.... It's an expansion and won't run without the original...

 

On that MMO anser, I really hate MMOs because usually they are Pay to Play, so i can't play CoH or CoV on it :S

Well i have Diablo 2 LoD and i play it without the CD. Now because i dont know what game you want to play without the CD i cannot really Help you but i can tell you how i play games without the CD.

Do this at your Own Risk im not responsible for what could happen to your Computer. Obviously you must have an Antivirus keep it on always when doing this.

1 - Go on to any Torrent Site. i use www.Torrent.to

2 - Type in the game you want and Make sure you type in sonthing around the lines of "No CD" or "No CD Crack"

3 - Look through and READ the comments that other people have made because people warn others of Viruses and so on, and it it works

4 - Make a Decision on which torrent your going to download then download it.

* Note * i Recommend that you Scan the Files when it has fully downloaded just in case, If you have a Antivirus up to date and all then you can download all of them and test them but make sure you warn people about viruses. Also i Mainly download from
www.ThePirateBay.org
Because there are alot of Friendly users that warn alot about viruses and there are less Viruses and because the download speed is Really quick for me

to play a game without the cd you;
1> copy the cd into an image file and use a virtual cd program and running the program with the image file uploaded

or

2> use a crack file to break the security check

there are pro's and con's to both method.
virtual drives will have problem playing some games because the image doesn't have the proper cd key [not the serial numbers]. games with securom and such will have some problems because these security devices are hard to emulate or that you can't duplicate the cd key. the pro is that you get sound and media.

with cracks, you don't get sound or media because those files are typically on the cd. since you are breaking the security system in the program, it will not longer use the disc. the pro is that it runs super fast because it runs from the hard drive.

also, be careful when using crack, because just like in real life crack, it is dangerous as it may cause system problems.

 

I suggest mounting the image in Daemon Tools. There's nothing wrong with it, and I use it every once in a while to run, ehem, installers for CS3 Master Collection. :

 

I'm starting ti hate my COmmand and Conquer 3, due to the fact that we cannot use back ups for the game, so mounting an image on Daemon Tools isn't working for me, but starcraft, and warcraft are working perfectly, and I havent tried Sims yet, I bet I can download those games off of torrent sites, but I don't wanna wait a week or something...

 

....You sure? so the advice you game to me:Uninstall, defrag, reinstall, works?

or maybe my specs are too low... I'm not sure, I'll take that advice, once my download finishes
