ok so i came across black rock shooter its a ova. Does that mean there is only one episode? or are there ova's that have more than one? Thanks in advance.
OVA's are comparable to Direct-to-Video/DVD releases, OVAs can come as a single release (think Dead Leaves) or as multiple installments (Hellsing Ultimate for example). BRS is just one ep, IIRC.
OVA = Original Video Animated or Original Video Animation Either way an OVA can be a series or it can be a singular episode/video. Some shows like Gundam have multiple OVA series, while other OVAs are like BRS.
