Micro SD card is slow?

I recently upgraded my 8Gb micro SD to a 32Gb for my DSTWO. For some reason, certain parts of particular games are pretty slow, like in Pokemon B/W, the party menu is extremely slow at changing between pokemon/moves, and the backpack is slow at swapping.

My old card never had this problem, and I was wondering is it due to the size, or is it due to the card's default allocation setting. My 8Gb is currently set to 4092bytes, and my 32Gb is set to 8128bytes, both of which are the lowest settings on each card. I also tried using the Panasonic SD formatter, but I had no luck with that, as my 32Gb card is still slow.

Is there a particular setting I can change to fix the 32Gb card, or is it forever slow?

Hmm, my understanding is that when the card is bigger, it goes slower. At least, thats what I read when deciding which card to buy.

Even though they may run slower because they have a slower read time, it has no effect with gameplay. I also have a 32GB Sandisk MSD, and i don't have this issue...

Is it possibly due to some sort of setting when I reformat the card? It seems that the default allocation size option has a bearing on the speed.

allocation size shouldnt have anything to do with speed.

Man, this is getting even weirder now. I just did a test on a good 60 or so games, and every single one of them (minus mainstream pokemon games, like HG/SS and B/W) ran with faster loading times and better performance than on my old 8Gb SD.

I tried multiple downloads from different places for B/W and HG/SS, and they all give the same result: slow and laggy menus.
