After a few days of intense googling I came to a page that claimed to know how to burn games that can be booted on an unmodded PS2. I went to the site and I don't really know what to make of what it says, so if anyone who knows their stuff could check it out and tell me if what it says would work or if it's all a lie, I would really appreciate it. i read the article that you linked to in your post. I don't think it is legitimate. there are too many posted replies saying that it doesn't work. worst case scenario is that you can try it once or twice on your own and see how it works out, but i seriously doubt if that method would work.
Ryan P hit the nail squarely on the head. Your gut instinct proved correct, as it would be best if you didn't follow the advice. Probably advice meant to do some serious damage to your machine, meaning malicious advice. If your instinct is telling you it's wrong 99%(percent) of the time you instinct is right. Would you want to risk it on the one percent chance it's wrong? ....Didn't think so.
