No post about this yet? Okay...

So what do you think about this ban? It obviously sounds like key factors are missing in the section about the ban. I'm not a fan of lolicon (or hentai in general) but I do think this ban is a bit of a stretch, especially on the voice part of the ban, since most Japanese women do have high/adolescent pitched voices.

What do you guys think about this?

It's not just the hentai that would be banned:

Which sounds pretty vague, seeing as Japanese women in their 20s still sound 12+.

With lolicon, no child is harmed. I think it's better to be legal so people aren't after real CP as much.

NO! GOD, NO! NOT MY SWEET PORN'! GOD NO!

Oh wait. Lolitas? Oh. Well, I suppose it isn't that bad...

Anyway, banning people from having drawings of sexy fictional people? That definitely isn't going to stop ol' Humbert from fantasising, and it sure doesn't help children one bit. No more Cardcaptor Sakura porn' = a better society? Yeah. Sure. I can totally see that.

So, not only does it mean no roleplay, but you can't joke around while cosplaying either? If you're gonna propose a law, it'd be nice if you were specific about it.

PS: You make it sound like the thread itself shows Loli' tits, which unfortunately, it doesn't.

Also: I was scrolling down the article and all of the sudden I spotted ZFM on the left... Oh GOD that gave me a shock!

No way they can stop it all, the internet and underground circles will keep it circulating.

screw them, if they ban all lolis related stuff, i cant have my cute maid catgirl avatar anymore (yes that count as loli).

people that authrise that ban need to learn Loli =/= CP because they clearn doesnt know anything about lolita complex.

because its usually feminists trying to get loli banned, and they only care about women.

They can ban loli, shota, and every similar genre for all I care. When you're past the "civilian's line", you can't use anymore excuses like "it's our taste", so no matter how many loli lovers out there gather to fight this, they'll never go through, on the contrary, it'll be easier for the government to catch them all and remove all traces of the banned content, happened before, will happen again...but honestly, I couldn't care less about loli-lovers compared to some REAL sick people out there! (ex: gore-hentai)

you know loli isnt all about hentai..... there is non-hentai loli like lucky star, and there is even a fashion focus on loli, IIRC its call Gothic Lolicon.

yes, but we're currently talking about the hentai (or any sexual-related) loli stuff. I mean, if they were gonna ban everything loli related, that would mean they would ban the lolis themselves a.k.a CHILDREN. so, obviously, stuff like fashion and NORMAL animes will stay (to an extent), but all the hentai-related will not.

fashion and normal anime arent as safe as you think...... if i read the artical correctly, anything that spell out lolicon will be ban, from fashion to hentai.

also the artical say one cannt dress, act or sound like a minor, but what about adult who look or sound younger then thier age or girl born with baby face (what we call a nature loli) are they going to get ban as well?....(similar to that flat chest girl ban in Australia)

number 2 from the posters second quote-within-quote states:

so, in other words, no matter what that first sentence said, the second part says something with the meaning of "that ENGAGES, or appears to be engaging in, sexual activity or activity resembling sexual activity. so yes, all that applies, but only if it appears to engage in sexual activity or anything of the sort.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how banning CardCaptor Sakura R-18 doujinshi will make the world a safer place for children.
