Is this necessary?

So this March 25th the new Harvest Moon is coming out, No, not Harvest moon island of happiness. This one is called Harvest Moon DS Cute. Eb Games describes it exactly like the game play of the first Harvest Moon for DS the only difference is your now a girl and you have to find a husband. Is this really necessary, seeing as how Island of happiness is coming out only 2 months after? What do you think?

 

Seems to me like a pointless filler they stuff in for you to continue having interest before their next big release.

 

I'd say just wait...I seems like a waste of time to get a filler game, instead of a mainstream game coming out two months after

 

They should just let you choose a gender in one game

 

I agree. Harvest moon is good game but the two genders should be put into one to save the hassel of having to buy another game.

 

Totally. This just looks like an attemt to promote it as a 'girl game', most likely in a pink box.
On the other hand, Pokemon games have been living off fans buying the same game twice for years........

 

Is it bad to ahve a cartridge collection? I'm only missing emerald because my friend borrowed it..without giving it back I MISS YM SAPPHIRE POKEMON THAT WERE ON THAT :-\ :'(

but I always buy all the versions... I ahve pretty much all versions, some Generic versions also, and I don't have the N64, because I don't have an n64..

 

I guess the girl version of harvest moon could work like the pokemon games did. i mean they just changed the colour of the games and the starting pokemon for the for the first GBC games yellow, red and blue.

 

Yeah..but Yellow was different from Red, and Blue, and dont forget the Japanese Green!..Pikachu follows you ;D

Hey, I'm not knocking Pokemon at all, I got most of em myself. (And yes, I have sat with 2 DS's trading pokemon to myself). I was just pointing out that this weasn't the first game to release multiple versions of the same game

This is why no Harvest Moon game after Harvest Moon 64 is good.

Having played the original Harvest Moon DS, I'd say that if they've fixed the glitches, the added stuff makes it well worth it. But then again I never got near most of the stuff in HMDS because of the glitches and the 'Same' option in the most profitable casino game, which kept losing me thousands of tokens.

It's not necessary, but it'll be fun.

 

Wait, how exactly do you make money in Harvest moon, I'm confused, when you ship stuff, do you get money?

 

When you ship stuff, it doesn't teleport to wherever it is, it waits there until 5pm when Thomas comes and picks it up and then you get the money. (You can't take stuff back out of it though.)

 

I would consider rune factory great but it has its flaws besides that SNES/PSX/N64 were the only great HM games

 

he doesn't come on holidays though
