Try erasing everything and putting the files back on? Make sure a button isn't stuck in (like the skip forward button)?

I'd say tirith is right, erase everything and put it back on.

As the apple website says...it could be file corruption, well that is what they said about my 20gb+ collection.

Funny how every other device other than my ipod plays them fine.

It sounds a lot like 'Intro' mode on my mp4. Skips after 30 seconds. You sure yours doesn't have something like that? XD

well, it could be that the ipod is skipping songs when you shake it or move it. the ipod touch has this function, i forgot what it is called. but you can try looking in options to see if it is enabled

thanks for some of the tips. but i think i know what happen. as i was walking to work i drop my ipod. from there it hit the ground (der) now it did not damage the harddrive in side but it did mess up the files. i came up with because if the hdd was mess up then all the songs would mess up. i could be wrong but that is the most likely answer.
