GOS - could there be a working OS finally?

    I don't know if anyone's heard of GOS or Google OS, but it looks pretty good. I wonder if it'll be able to play games or if it'll go the same way as linux and the mac.

    linux and mac have not 'gone' anywhere, they have remained true to their designed purpose, which for linux is an os primarily for scientific use, and for mac is an OS for graphic designers, publishers and audio engineers.

    I didn't mean 'go' as in leave, i meant go as in, drop out of the mainstream OS.

    they never really have been mainstream. unix was prevalent at one time, but that was before there was anything else, and even though mac had the gui etc first, once windows 3.1 came out they've pretty much always played second fiddle.

    No, it's not Goobuntu, the linux distribution.
