    ok, first off, yeah i want to hear from tech savvy people on what PC programs to run, besides these few:

    1. Avast
    2. MBAM
    3. Peerblock
    4. Firefox
    {No Script Add-on}

    optional programs

    1. utorrent

    cause im going to update the system right after the format, so hopefully it don't turn out for the worse

    Everest or some other system monitoring/summary tool. Not really necessary, but it may give you insights on how your PC behaves-being a PC n00b I am I wondered what caused my PC to shut down randomly and thanks to Everest I realized my CPU was overheating rapidly -___-;
    There is another similar program my friend uses but I cant remember it, while you're on desktop, on the upper left you have a summary on the CPU temperature, current memory usage and space on HDD(s) and other extra stuff.

    foxit pdf reader. Uses far less disk space than adobe acrobat reader, and starts in a fraction of the time. adobe reader is now bloatware.
