Some games are only available in their native tongue. I wonder if there are any non-English games that still play well to the English speaker (i.e. not reliant on text or voice-over, intuitive control scheme, etc). Opinions?

Daigasso! Band Brothers? It's a music making program, don't really need to know the language to get it.

Taiko no Tatsujin, you really dont need to learn any japanese to play it... although you might want to remember the number of your favorite song.

Kururin Paradise, sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin. Takes moving a spinning stick round a maze to a whole new level. (It's fab.) For GBA.

Also, for the SNES, there's Umihara Kawase, which has you using a grapple hook to get to an exit in increasingly difficult levels, whilst dodging various sea-life enemies. Doesn't need a translation because the tutorials to explain the manoeuvres are all text-free.
