Re: Final Fnatasy Hero Battle Royale When you say Hero of light (I assume you mean Warriors of light), do you mean the four warriors from the original game or do you mean the "Warrior of Light" shown in Dissidia?
Vaan was more of a POV-character-as-storyteller thing since XII kinda focused more on Ashe and the war, and perhaps the Undying/ freaky-eyed gods? Though that part of the story was a bit weak IMO) As I see it he only really became more of the main protagonist in the DS sequel (which I've been putting off because I probably need to level up to get past the judge of wings / chaos battle in chapter 8-ish) I voted for Terra, because I <3 her lol.
About Luneth, do remember that the names of the characters for the DS Remake of Final Fantasy III were just coined for the remake. In the original NES version the heroes were just four unnamed boys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pxQhe_D2q8
I on the other hand hated it when they started giving fixed names to characters on RPGs I prefer the retro days when you were given the choice to name your character/s however you pleased. In Final Fantasy VII for example I used to give Aeris the name "Bitch" or "Whore" because I hated her so much. Yuffie I'd name "Prick" because that's what she really is. And no, I don't name the main hero after myself I often name myself to supporting characters like Gogo in FF6 or Steiner in FF9.
