In my experience, the average American Muslim is more rational, tolerant, and sane than the average American Christian.

With most of the Christians I've met:
"I hate going to church. The priests are always talking about their wives' life stories and making me fall asleep."
"What sect are you a part of?"
"I'm an atheist, actually."
"...What? You Godless heathen! DIE MOTHAFUCKAH!"

With, frankly, all of the Muslims I've met:
"I hate going to church. The priests are always talking about their wives' life stories and making me fall asleep."

"Oh, that's cool. I understand."

Of course, that's just my experience. Maybe Loony lives somewhere where all of his Muslim neighbours are terrorists, I don't know.
This girl I had a crush on in middle school had the cutest hijab... Those were good times.

Anyway, I really don't blame the opposition to US foreign policy (I don't know much about UK's). Bush made it a war against terror, a war against non-Christian ideologies, the kind of war that religious extremists, Muslim, Christian or whatever, just love. And the soldiers getting deployed out there? Most of them don't know a thing about Middle-Eastern culture. It's sad, but at least it can be pretty comical sometimes. They're raising their hands to stop traffic, but over there a flat palm facing away from the speaker is like a hello wave. Those guys don't know that they're saying "Hi, how's it going?" to everyone they're trying to divert.

I don't value life. What's there to value? We live and die, that's really the end of it. Everyone was a child is equally pointless, so what? -- this isn't to say that I am emo, or anything. Just that no one is special, and no one's children are special. 99.9% of people won't be a cancer cure, so who cares.

Seriously. Finding anything to do with war, funny, is pretty much atrocious.

this is why our troops cant come home yet they have a job to do, anyone thats been there understands. you dont see the troops asking to come home do you?

You know why the main reason americans search a war appromatly about a decade?
they just need to 'Unload' there weapons somewhere, so there economy stays working.
